Suicide
The definition of suicide is “The act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally." Suicide is a very difficult and dangerous thing to handle alone. You should seek help from mental health professionals. Then, you must take action. Depression is a widespread problem and responsible for thousands of people taking their own lives daily. Depression can be treated, but not cured. This disease can only be remedied to a certain extent. Then, you must be willing to help yourself. It takes time and dedication to overcome depression, because there is no cure all. You might be in such a dark a place that you believe suicide is the only option. You must realize that suicide is a permanent act. When someone commits suicide, their friends and family are left to live on with the grief of losing a loved one prematurely. According to CDC, suicide takes the lives of over 1,000,000 people worldwide every year. That is about one death every 40 seconds or 3,000 a day.

Many people are not be taken seriously when they talk about committing suicide, but no one should ever take this kind of talk lightly. People who feel suicidal often feel that there is no other option. If you are feeling this way, you need to know that there are plenty of places to receive help and support.
